VANESSA'S POV.

I sat there holding my Mom while she poured out her heart in both her words and her tears.

"I know you didn't want to have anything to do with men because of what you witnessed between your dad and I, I'm sorry I didn't stand up for myself, I'm sorry I wasn't a good example to you Vanessa." she said amidst tears.

"It's okay Mom, you've been a strong woman and that alone is more than enough for me." I said fighting back the tears that treathened to burst out anytime.

After some minutes of intense emotions, Mom finally stopped crying, I pulled out my handkerchief and wiped off her tears. I couldn't bear to see her cry, Afterall I was doing this because of her.

Rodri was quiet the whole time and I could just imagine the thoughts and questions that were running through his head.
