Vanessa's POV

I was overjoyed by the news about Rodri's Mom, she was showing signs of improvement already, the best part was watching Rodri hold her hand so dearly.

Rodri and I left Estelle at the hospital briefly to see his mom, since her boyfriend Brandon was already stable. The plan was that we would go back to them after seeing Mrs. Darnell, but I guess it could wait.

My phone went off ringing, so I quickly picked it up, it was Estelle.

She sounded like one who was about to cry when she told me about her boyfriend waking up but having complications which led to another surgery, I couldn't believe my ears .

Rodri kept staring at me and I could imagine that his dad was doing the same, I hung up to break the news to Rodri whom I was sure was full of questions already.

"It's Estelle, her boyfriend wolke up, but had complications which led to him having another surgery." I could feel my voice shaking as I spoke.

" I'll take you there, go wait for me in the lambo." said Rodri.
