POV: Ericka

She was persuaded by her husband to go to the mall just across the hotel. Despite not having taken a shower, it didn't bother her because she had already bathed in the early morning.

Monte took her to a boutique, but she had enough winter clothes, so she decided not to buy anything. While Monte was shopping, an unfamiliar number sent her a text.

"Congratulations Mrs. San Miguel. Can we talk? I saw you inside the mall."

She wondered who it could be, asking herself silently.

"Please, I know you're reading this."

She glanced around, finding no one suspicious. Then, her phone rang.

"Yes, who is this?"

"You know who I am. Please spare me a short time; we need to talk."

"Where are you?"

"I'm in the restroom on the same floor as you."

"I'll just inform Monte."

"Don't tell him about me. I only want to talk to you, please."

"Sure," she said, ending the call and approaching her husband. "I'll just go to the restroom."
