Twenty Three

Alicia's POV

Work at the orphanage was a bit stressful, it was my second day of resumption as the Director of the orphanage. I had to get acquainted with some of the projects, both current and old so as to ensure a smooth process.

I was in a meeting with George and one of the caretakers for hours trying to sort things out. We had ordered lunch during the day and ate as we discussed.

By the time I was done, my body was numb and I was so tired. I couldn't wait to get home.

The worst thing was I was nervous about my submission to Mrs Cadry's company and at the same time, worried about my medication that I forgot at home. Nathan would scream the roof off if he finds out.

"Thanks for the ride home," I told George as he stopped in front of the house.

"Your home is nice," he complimented.

"It's for Nathan but still, thanks,"

"See you tomorrow," We shared a hug and I got down from the car.
