Twenty Two

Nathan's POV

"Are you okay in there?" I asked after knocking on Alicia's door. I came upstairs to tell her I left some food for her on the table but I heard her groaning.

"I'm okay, go away,"

"You know I won't until I'm sure you're fine,"

I answered. She didn't say anything else but when I heard a loud bang, I opened the door and walked in.

She was sitting on her vanity chair, staring hard at herself in the mirror while her hair was scattered. When she turned to look at me, I heard my heart hit against its ribcage, she had the cutest pout even though she was glaring.

"Christ! Is there a lion or a tiger somewhere in this room that you fought with? Did you have combat in here without me?"

She narrowed her eyes at me and I smiled.

"You're laughing. I look funny again,"

I'm not laughing because I'm mocking you, Alicia, I'm smiling because you make me feel things.

"I didn't laugh, I smiled,"

"You're making jest of me as well,"
