CHAPTER FORTY

Buzz buzz buzz, Alan's phone rang making him stirr from his sleep, sitting properly on the bed he grabbed the phone and looked at the caller ID.

“Mom, Good morning.” He greeted her staring at the clock which showed that it was already morning.

“Oohh it's already noon here, How are you son? Hope you both landed safely?” She bombarded him almost immediately.

Staring at his sleeping beauty and caressing her hair lightly “ Yes Mom we landed safely” He said walking towards the window.

“Okay Great, where is Ashley?” She enquired.

“She's sleeping, she is probably jet lagged, it's her first time,” Alan said.

“Alright I will call later to speak to her, have fun,” She said excitedly and hung up the call.

Alan pushed the curtain aside taking in the beautiful streets of Hawaii.

“This is a very lovely place for a vacation” He mumbled. He had always traveled but never for fun or tourism, it's always for work and he was somewhat glad that he was doing this.
