Avery's POV

The sun streamed through the window, and my eyes fluttered open. I blinked, my mind still fuzzy from sleep. Then, I remembered the argument from the night before, and my stomach clenched with dread.

I rolled over, looking for Bella, but the bed was empty. I sat up, feeling a pang of worry.

Where was she? Had she left? I threw off the covers and stumbled out of bed, my heart pounding as I searched the house.

My search was in vain, as I sank onto the couch, my head in my hands.

My heart was racing, and I felt sick with worry.

Did I push her too far? Or did I say something I couldn't take back? I closed my eyes, the scene from the night before playing out in my mind like a movie.

The door suddenly opened and she walked in, we both shared a glance but I broke it off heading upstairs to prepare for work,

I entered my bathroom, letting the water wash me over, her voice echoing in my ears,

“You're insecure!”. I clenched my teeth, folding my fists,
