Chapter 46: Beast on the Loose

Sarah was in the living room that night playing puzzles with Benjamin. That had become one of their habits during her time as a nanny and she loved it.

"You're getting better at this, Ben. Well done! You'll get faster than me in a while," she remarked, making the kid smile with pride.

"My daddy always played this with me," he said, sadness taking over his face. "Now he doesn't spend time with me anymore."

"Don't say that, Ben. He's busy with work, but he's always trying to spend some time with you. It's just that… It's hard to be a grown up sometimes, you know? We don't have much time to do nice stuff like play with puzzles and watch a movie."

"Why not?"

"Because work gets in the way, and we also have more problems than when we were kids," she explained. "Sometimes we wish we could be kids again, you know that?"

"Well, I want to grow up soon," he replied.

"You will change your mind once you get to my age. It's not that fun anymore. You'll see," Sarah smiled and got back to the piece
