Chapter 32 - "I need to find her."

Adrian Moore clenched his jaw. He’d been played, a pawn in another woman’s game. But he was no one’s throw-away piece.

His mind raced, relaying conversations and quiet moments between them, searching for a time Liz could have used him or the opportunity he had provided her – the contract. The harder he searched his memory, the more desperate he became to prove to himself she’d lied to him and used him.

Hell, he’d settled for her having misled him in any way. But there was nothing to find. Nothing stood out as deceitful. In fact, she’d been there whenever he needed her. Still, that didn’t change the fact that she was two timing him. That would explain why she’d gone to meet her ex-lover twice without finding it necessary to tell him.

Even though they weren’t in a real official relationship yet, he’d imagined she would at least inform him about it but she hadn’t.
