Jake received a text from Claire. She sent Quinn's address and added, "Good luck."

He gulped, knowing what the good luck was for. The moment he saw Quinn, he was going to tell her that he had a son and they had been bonding in the last few weeks that she had been gone.

After filling his tank with enough fuel for the hours long journey, he started off. However, he suddenly received a call from Charlotte.

"Charlotte, not now. I'm busy-"

"Jake, our son is sick! Lucian has a fever and he's been calling for you! Can you please come over to the children’s clinic and stay with him? I have a few patients to attend to," Charlotte explained through sobs.

Jake didn't have to think twice about it. After all, this was his son who had fallen ill. He made a U-turn and rushed to the Ford hospital before going to the paediatrics department.
