Chapter 58

Anita steps out of the room, sighs deeply, and stands at the door. She exhales and adjusts her towel appropriately as she walks back to the room she shares with Glory.

Anita opens the room door and discovers Glory fiddling with her phone.

"Any calls?" she inquires of Glory, who is lying on the bed, pressing the phone and playing games.

"No calls!" Glory responds, and Anita sighs before walking into the bathroom to take a bath.

Anita steps out of her bath and heads back to her wardrobe to change into her nightgown.

The week has been stressful, and she sighs deeply as she dresses.

Anita is meant to recuperate and go see her father the following Saturday, but she has already promised Joel that she will attend his younger sister's birthday party, despite the fact that the officers in charge will not even let her see her father and will instead stare at her lustfully.

She settles into her bed, takes her phone from Glory, and activates her data connection to use it with her laptop.
