Ch45- Persuasion Part1 (Jacob’s Persuasion)

Mariane was preparing breakfast as early as usual when Anastacia entered the kitchen and wondered what she was doing.

“You’re early,” she stated.

Mariane nodded. “David will come to pick us up. He said he’d bring us somewhere.”

Anastacia raised her brows. “Really? And you agree with it? Did you two get back together? Haven’t you already signed a divorce agreement?” she asked.

“Mom… I agreed with him because he wants to get close to his son. But that doesn’t mean I will go back to him. I just felt sorry for David, that’s all. And even if we are still married on paper, still… it was just on paper. I know I just married him to pay for Dad’s debts and nothing more. There was no love involved.” Mariane cleared her thoughts about David wanting to get close to them again.

“So, don’t worry, Mom. My thoughts are clear. It’s just for our child and nothing else.” She sternly said.
