‘Dammit! My son didn’t like me. What will I do?’ David brushed his head with his fingers out of his frustration. He was walking around his room trying to figure out what will he do to persuade his son and get closer to him.

But he knew his not good at taking the kids’ sides. Because he knew how impatient and short-tempered he was. But for his son, David wanted to do everything he can to be with Jacob. David looked at the time on his phone and noticed it was already ten in the evening.

‘Will it be okay to call Mariane at this hour?’ He looked at Mariane’s number in his phone and was about to call her, but suddenly, his mind changed.

‘But knowing her, she sleeps early.’ David heaved a sigh.

‘Whatever… I will call her now. This is a matter of emergency.’ David shook his thoughts away and continued dialing his phone.

David tapped his foot on the floor while waiting for her to answer his phone call. But after a few attempts, Mariane did not answer his call. ‘Maybe she really is sleeping.’
