Bernard watched as Nolan's secretary exited the elevator and approached him. He leaned back, expecting the secretary to inform him that Nolan was waiting for him somewhere and wanted him to accompany him. However, his hopes were dashed when the secretary opened his mouth and spoke plainly.

The soft smile on Bernard's face gradually faded away. "What do you mean? Does he know it's me, his father-in-law?" Bernard questioned, and the young man nodded lightly.

Anger covered his expression as he thought about how Nolan had the audacity to be so rude and disrespectful, considering that Bernard was much older and his father-in-law.
