The Cursed Alpha King
The Cursed Alpha King
Author: Trixie Kim

Prologue:

Riona

I was a she-wolf. Born from outcast parents in the pack. My father was a rogue and my mother was a rejected she-wolf. We lived in the shadows outside of the pack. Our Alpha King, Victor Moore, was nothing but a ruthless, abusive king. He lived by his name as the alpha king, the strongest and the most powerful one.

I, a simple maiden, was living a normal life till that dreadful day had come.

While I helped my parents in the ricefield, the loud rumbling of the big bell at the entrance of our small village made an ear-splitting noise. Actually, this was the first time in 50 years that that bell rang again. It only meant a very important visitor was coming.

Who would that be?

Our small village was a pack of rejected wolves and rogues. The Alpha Kings in the past had never stepped in our muddy entrance.

"Riona, go back to our house!" my mom while holding her waist uttered in a low tone.

Sure, bowing under the heat of the scorching sun for almost a day was a torment for a middle-aged woman. She was strong during her prime but since she became an outcast, her wolf began to banish and that ate up almost her years of existence. I dragged my tired bluish-green orbs to her while her eyes which were identical to mine were fixed on the entrance.

My dad sauntered his heavy exhausted legs towards her and his dirty bone-tired hand clasped her shoulder, both were staring deeply at the dilapidated wooden gate that collapsed in one blow on the ground when a brawny man glared at it.

I could guess, he had the power to move objects using his mind~ telekinesis!

What about the other brawny men behind him? Oh! There were three women, too. Beautiful women!

"Dad, who are they?" my curiosity woke up my senses as I lifted my head higher and my feet tiptoed to the ground.

Another rogue was blocking my sight. He was my father's childhood friend. His name was Erro. Strong but gentle. He had the power of strength but the former Alpha King ceased it away, making his wolf growl in fury till it left him.

"Riona, you heard your mom. Go back to our house!" my dad nudged my senses but Erro's stern voice almost startled me.

"Too late. They're near!"

The rest of the villagers hurriedly went out of their straw houses, frightened expressions written all over their faces. That made my eyes narrower as my mind was asking, "What's going on?"

As if they’d been waiting all their lives for the next moment to happen, they held each other tightly while staring at the entrance to our humble small property. I walked toward my parents and my mother held her frail hands towards me. Hands that have seen many years of manual labor but have always provided me with love, care, and safety.

“Riona, whatever happens, today, I want you to know, that we love you very dearly. You are destined to bring back our family’s lost honor. You are meant to save our family and descendants. We are not going to be a rogue pack forever. You are the way, my child.”

But why? And how?

Then my question was answered in no time as the one with telekinetic power spoke loudly while striding with superiority.

"I have an announcement from our Alpha King!"
