Xavier's POV

I should have known that someone would surely attack us, I guess I didn't see the truck on time.

I loved the fact that Irene fought them with her wounds, she pulled me out of the SUV, for a moment I thought that I would never make it out of there alive.

Staring at Daphne as she took Irene away from me, I couldn't do anything, I had multiple injuries. I couldn't even move myself, groaning a bit I had to move a bit far from the SUV, knowing that it would only take seconds before the whole car would be in flames.

I dragged myself, scratching my arms on the ground, my shirt was already soiled with blood, I hated the fact that I couldn't do anything to save Irene from the hands of that monster who took over the body of a woman.

"Who's there? Help me" I screamed wondering who would help me in this forest, knowing that I was bleeding and I wouldn't want to bleed to death.
