53. No Longer A Pushover!

“How dare you speak to my mother like that?!”

My stepsister, Lilian raised her hand to smack my face, but I caught it mid-air.

“Do. Not. Even. Dare!” I snarled.

With a disgruntled noise emanating from the back of her throat, she tried to yank her wrist free from my grip, yet I didn't budge. They had to know that I was no longer the same Elaine they treated as a tramp. I was no longer a pushover! That weak and pathetic Elaine is gone. Forever.

“Let me go!" She shrieked and I smiled at her discomfort.

“Why don't you try setting yourself free?" I spat. A small mocking smirk lifted a corner of my lips. “Or perhaps, you are now weak?”

She scoffed.

Making use of her other hand, she attempted to hit me again. This time, I grasped her arm and twisted it without remorse and she let out an agonizing cry.

“What?" I laughed. “But I am just playing with you!”

My stepmother wanted to step in, but Amy stepped in her way, stopping her from reaching us.
