Chapter 20: Butting Heads

"Let me go! Put me down right now!" Being thrown over a shoulder was not how I wanted to be whisked off my feet. But, having a Rogue mate was something I had not expected either.
"You wanted to test me, woman," Harvey says as he adjusts me on his shoulder.
"You slapped my basket out of my hands, you jerk! Oh, and FYI my baking skills will make your knees weak!" So if anything struck a nerve with me, it was someone who dissed my baking.
Suddenly Harvey stops, and I slid off his shoulder; as I looked around the forest, I started to get the creeps.
"Why did you bring me here?" I ask; Harvey glances at me but quickly looks away.
"Why haven't you rejected me?" Harvey asks with his fists clenched, "You have no idea what I've done," his voice strains
I stayed silent for a second, knowing I was thinking of it moments ago, but upon talking to Evette, I wasn't so sure I wanted to do that.
