Flashback was more than a century ago...

Seventy-one percent of the earth is covered in water. There are more creatures living in the water compared to the earth's surface, but only a few are known to men. Up until today, our existence is considered a myth and urban legend. We preferred to be hidden from the world as we no longer trust the creatures of the earth. Sea-maiden’s fishtail turns into human feet once the ocean water dried out from our skin. We can easily blend with humans without being caught.

It's been more than a century since we last set foot on the surface of the earth. Before, we were able to co-exist with humans and other creatures. Sea maidens aged ten times slower than any other creatures. The ocean is slowing the aging process of our bodies.
