Alex’s Pov

I pinched the bridge of my nose as Zoey walked out of my office. Why was she so angry at me? Did I do something wrong? What did I do wrong? Women are so confusing! I huffed out in annoyance and changed my shirt.

As I did so, my cell phone’s notification rang off. I picked it up as I put the tie around my neck with the other hand. I unlocked it and found that it was Damien who was messaging me. I opened it and placed my phone back on the bed as I adjusted my tie.

I picked up the phone again and walked to my office desk to get started with work. Especially with Zoey’s sudden disappearance, I’ve lost track of my work schedule, but from what it seems like…there’s no happy ending for us as yet. Zoey’s hiding something from me.
