Chapter 28

Samantha POV

I am standing in a big foyer waiting. I look at the paintings on the wall. They look old and worn. There is a marble statue of the woman that has just left the space.

I look towards the stairs when I hear footsteps coming toward me. The lady looks young, around my age if I should guess. She has a business suit on. She looked so elegant.

"Hi, my name is Emilee. I will be your roommate during your stay here. We will need you to hand over all your personal items that linked you to your previous life, including your phone. Please hand it over to Master Jackson." She pointed toward the big burly man next to me.

I start rummaging through my bag for my cellphone. This is the only thing that I have. I decided to give Kaleb back his bank card when I left. I think by now he has found it in my room with the note. Once I was done, Emilee motioned for me to follow her.
