After Alpha Sam and Luna Cris had spoken with the villagers, they realized that no one except the now-deceased guard knew what was transpiring. Ace and his father offered the villagers a choice to join their pack or move to another, but they declined to go to their pack. They explained they had to leave because the village was set to be burned down.
