Chapter 24

Flash Back……

Jason raced back to the pack house, feeling as though he had been away for days. The pain coursing through his body left him weak and struggling to maintain his balance, even in his wolf form. The agony was so intense that he reverted to his human form. Gazing up at the sky, he saw a red ring encircling the moon. His wolf, Cy, surged forward, insisting that his mate had rejected him without a word. Jason refused to believe it he thought it would be best to confront Heaven.

Upon arrival, he discovered Heaven was nowhere to be found. He questioned everyone nearby, but no one had seen her. That night, he returned to the woods to search for her. After organizing search parties for over a month with no success, it seemed as if she had vanished into thin air. Eventually, Jason's parents persuaded him to move on with his life, assuring him that if Heaven wanted to be found, she would reappear.
