As they exited the dungeon, Sky halted Ace to reveal that she was compelled to mate with the Alpha. They hadn't marked each other, yet the Alpha had warned her of a likely pregnancy due to their mating during her heat cycle.

Krystal, eavesdropping, interjected that while this is often the case, she could perform a spell to prevent the pregnancy from progressing too far. She explained that Sky's unique nature as both a wolf and banshee meant the child would reach full term in five months, not nine as with typical wolves. Ace, concerned, urged her to begin the spell. Krystal, with a chuckle, informed him that it wasn't possible to cast it immediately; she required specific supplies from their packhouse to proceed.

The next day

Upon reaching the pack house, Krystal began to assemble all the necessary materials for the spell. The casting took about an hour due to the various steps required to ensure its effectiveness in preventing her pregnancy. Krystal informed her that within a day
