Nervousness was pooling in my heart as we waited outside the court building for Emily who hadn’t showed up for the divorce settlement. Xavier was calm because he didn’t know the real face of his innocent Emily.

“The proceeding will start in fifteen minutes, Xavier. Where is she?” I finally asked him as my patience ran low with her.
