18. Unwanted attraction

"I need to visit some place before heading home. I didn't mean to eavesdrop your conversation," I said.

Deep down, I was curious to know if Annabel was a friend or foe. My mind rewind back to my engagement party with Leo. She had a strange attraction to me. She loved me for no reason at all.

I couldn't help but wonder if she was a true friend or just a rival trying to use me to get closer to her ex-boyfriend or seeking revenge for taking him away from her.
