I glanced at Kay and my eyes held his. I was infuriated because he kept playing the good guy, making me the bad guy in front of Emily.

I suppressed my firm grip on her arm and stared at Kay, "I'm talking to my wife right now so I'll appreciate the privacy," I said and glared back at Emily who looked at me with contempt. She obviously thought I was the rudest man ever but I cared less.

"When would you stop being so overly dramatic? And why do you feel so insecure when Emily's with me?" he asked and shrugged.

"Let's have a man-to-man talk. Emily should leave us for now," he said.

I had always respected Kay until the moment he roped me in a serious drug case in high school.

I felt betrayed ever since and we couldn't see eye to eye most times. I noticed how calm he was when I was suddenly raised to the top-tier level of the company at twenty one. I had deserved it since I raised the company's revenue three years in a row.
