47. Getting to know him

It was my first time traveling out of the country and I felt elated about the trip. More so about Leo who had started warming up to me after our fall out. Martha told me how he stayed up all night, waiting for me till he fell asleep.

Then he asked her to prepare my favorite meal while he refused to eat till I was back. He had turned romantic towards me which was a rare sight of Leo Robbins.

I was amazed when he proposed the vacation and I got the hunch that he wanted to spend more time with me. So many thoughts were crawling into my mind and I struggled to keep calm as well as to control my emotions.

My happiness was almost short-lived when he said he'd be announced the new chairman of the group in a couple of weeks which meant that I'd soon be relieved of my wifely duties. However I choose to enjoy the moment and claim whatever I could get in the present.
