53. Guilt like a worm

LEO POV

"Have I done something wrong by bringing lunch to you? Jude said you haven't eaten today," she said

"And how is that your concern? Get out of my office right now before I do something I might regret," I said.

It was clear that my actions towards her were uncalled for but guilt had eaten me up. I could not even stand to look her directly in the eye. I just wanted peace from all the issues concerning women in my life.

I had never had to battle with so much emotional strain and stress until Emily showed up. I never liked women. They were just playing things to me and I wanted nothing more but with Emily, I wanted so much more.

Although, I felt hurt by her reaction. She has spurred me on by returning my advances but she suddenly had to cut me off with her harsh words. I could see tears gathering in her eyes as I ordered her to leave. She had made lunch for me but I could never taste her meal after what I had done.
