61. The Truth unveils

EMILY POV

His face was filled with terror and he struggled to be free from the chair that held him captive.

"Do you want to run now? But we have a deal," I said with sarcasm.

"I'm… I'm terribly sorry. I was only doing my job," he cried. I bent low in front of him and held his chin up.

"I don't care about your job or your life. I want to know who ordered you to fill my husband with lies about me," I said and pushed his chin aside. I stood from my bent position and looked at his face squarely.

"Spill it before I break all your arms and tear you into shreds," I threatened. I could never do all I had said but I needed to act tough to get the information from him.

"I can't recognize the person's face. She said that if I was caught at any time, I must state that Emily Robbins put me up to it.
