66. Date night gone wrong

EMILY POV

“We’ve talked about this, Emily. I don’t think a date is necessary,” Leo said and walked over to his swivel chair. I raced after him and faced him squarely, placing my hands at the edges of his chair so he could not stand up.

“I know we’ve talked about this and I’m not asking for anything huge. Just a simple date,” I said and paced the room slowly. “All these would be over soon and I’ll return to my former life so I could as well enjoy it when I have the chance,” I explained.

He heaved a deep sigh and kept his focus on me for what seemed like hours.

“Alright! Meanwhile, don’t bother to change the dress. It looks breathtaking on you,” he said, taking his face off me and typing on his tablet.

I giggled with excitement and hurried out of his office after we fixed a time for seven in the evening.
