64. Revealing the real Kay

As I drove into the Robbins Estate, I recalled that Father had invited me to Leo and Emily’s dinner party but I was not interested in whatever they were doing. The couple’s existence made me sick and I struggled to keep a happy face around them.

Leo had always been my sworn enemy. I never liked the fact that my father impregnated my mother and ditched her with the baby. Then he came for me when I was two years old after my mother’s death and brought me to his newly married pregnant wife.

I envied the love he showed to the woman while my mother died of emotional strain. His love for the other woman was also expressed to her son who was an all rounder. He had been a smarty pants since he was two. Then he exceled in sports, spelling bees, debates and other extra curricular activities in school which made him my father’s favorite.

Although, father tried to mask his feelings, anyone could tell that he loved the woman and her son. Then tragedy struck and Leo was left with no moth
