LEO POV"He has to stop the video from loading, sir. We've got only a minute left before it goes out," Jude said, placing the system in front of him. One of the men stood at his back and another in front of him. They untied one of his hands and he stopped the video before it was posted. The hacker we had found came in immediately and took the computer. He began to work on deleting all the pictures and videos as well as pulling the blog down. While we focused on pulling the blog down, he tried to get himself out of the man's grip and bit his arm but the man was quick to hold him firmly. The men had the poster's hand tied back to the chair. He was starting to grow weak and his body was drenched in blood and sweat."Did you say Emily, my wife, instructed you to post those videos?!" I yelled."Yes, she did. I was simply doing my job," he said and began to cough. I stood up and signaled to one of the men. He hit the poster's head with his hand and when it hit the spot, the poster lost c
EMILY POVI had been so worried about Leo all day. I would have kept calling him but that might make me a nuisance. The day was a long one with the company in an uproar. I saw so many faces I had never seen before although I spent the most part of the day in my office. I was sure that the employees would bombard me with several questions if I showed up. There would also be numerous gossips too and I could not stand them. I left the company late into the night and Leo's personal driver took me home. After undressing, I could not eat dinner. My mind was filled with thoughts of Leo and what he might be going through. I decided to stand by the porch and wait for him to arrive because I could not sit around and do nothing. However, Leo's reaction was not what I had expected. It was the second time he had laid a serious accusation against me."I would never do something like that to you. You know I would never do it," I said."I don't know. I don't know you and the kind of person you've
EMILY POVOn second thoughts, I contemplated what her actions would be if she found out that I was in a contract marriage and my pregnancy must not be revealed. It would be quite awkward to tell my story."I'm worried about carrying a baby for a man who's always in such a mess," I said and I needed no one to tell me that I sounded stupid.Dr. Maureen let out another laugh and held my hand across the table."That's what marriages are, my darling. Sometimes sweet, sometimes sour. Since you love him, work things out with your man. It's already good since you have a little baby coming your way," she said and it made me sad. I wished the baby was out of the way so I would leave the marriage with no regrets or pain."Keep your stress level down. Don't think too hard about it. You've been doing great with the baby and you'll be past your trimester soon. Once you start showing, you'll have to be extra careful," she advised."Thank you, Doctor," I said and grabbed my bag."Have you checked on
EMILY POVI heaved a deep sigh and my lips shaped into a beautiful smile."To everyone who was concerned about me, I appreciate you all. I am so grateful for your love and support. However, I beseech you all to refrain from attacking my husband. I love Leo deeply and can't bear to see him hurt. My husband might have been a playboy before we got married but I am confident that he has never cheated on me after our wedding. You've all been our pillar of support and I wish that you would continue to support us in providing you the best services and products through R & B Groups. Thank you," I said and Jude helped me climb down the podium. Some of the reporters still wanted to ask questions but I gave them no audience. I stepped out of the conference room and the face that stared back at me made me tremble. Leo was there, in his suit and his face held no emotion. When the journalists realized that he was standing outside with me, they all left the conference room to take pictures of us.
EMILY POV His face was filled with terror and he struggled to be free from the chair that held him captive. "Do you want to run now? But we have a deal," I said with sarcasm. "I'm… I'm terribly sorry. I was only doing my job," he cried. I bent low in front of him and held his chin up. "I don't care about your job or your life. I want to know who ordered you to fill my husband with lies about me," I said and pushed his chin aside. I stood from my bent position and looked at his face squarely. "Spill it before I break all your arms and tear you into shreds," I threatened. I could never do all I had said but I needed to act tough to get the information from him. "I can't recognize the person's face. She said that if I was caught at any time, I must state that Emily Robbins put me up to it. The only thing I noticed was that she was Leo Robbins ex-girlfriend," he said. I was overwhelmed with anger as I stared at him. I grabbed a knife from one of the men and approached the poster but
EMILY POV"You really do not know so much about your husband, do you? She once had your husband wrapped all around her finger and she can still do it again. I'm not trying to badmouth her but it's the truth. I have wanted to inform you about this since the gathering but I haven't been able to do so," she said.I was shocked to my marrow and struggled to stay composed."If I get what you're saying, Annabel was my husband's ex-girlfriend who had also slept with him?" I asked."That's right. Since I saw you at the gathering, I've loved your energy and dedication. To be sincere, Leo Robbins does not deserve you. I know all about his flirty scheme because my fiancé owns the hotel he frequents. I do not mean to spoil your happy day but I'd feel guilty if I keep it to myself," she said."It's fine, Vera. Thanks for the information," I said.”You're welcome, Emily. Have a wonderful day," she said and left. My mind played back my last meeting with Annabelle and how she had spoken ill of Leo.
EMILY POV"Mr. Robbins would like to see you now, Mrs. Emily," one of the household waiters said."Did you hear some voices just now?" I whispered."I heard none. Please, let's head to the dining hall," he replied. I gawked at him because his denial seemed implausible. I felt uneasy as I followed him to the dining hall. My body grew hot and I felt curious. Something seems wrong and the entire Robbins Estate looked suspicious to me. The estate was so large and I wondered if people had ever been to all the areas on the land. There was no doubt that the Robbins family were rich but an estate was not so necessary. "Can I talk to you for a sec?" I asked Leo the minute I saw me discussing with some other guests. He nodded and I pulled him to a corner of the room."I just heard some suspicious voices in the garden. I know it might seem unbelievable but things are going on in this house that you do not know," I said with bated breath."What did you hear?" he asked, folding his arms over hi
KAY POVAs I drove into the Robbins Estate, I recalled that Father had invited me to Leo and Emily’s dinner party but I was not interested in whatever they were doing. The couple’s existence made me sick and I struggled to keep a happy face around them. Leo had always been my sworn enemy. I never liked the fact that my father impregnated my mother and ditched her with the baby. Then he came for me when I was two years old after my mother’s death and brought me to his newly married pregnant wife. I envied the love he showed to the woman while my mother died of emotional strain. His love for the other woman was also expressed to her son who was an all rounder. He had been a smarty pants since he was two. Then he exceled in sports, spelling bees, debates and other extra curricular activities in school which made him my father’s favorite. Although, father tried to mask his feelings, anyone could tell that he loved the woman and her son. Then tragedy struck and Leo was left with no moth
