Chapter 26: The real betrayor

My eyes snap open, all the memories flooding my mind. Remember how much this girl loved me, how much I loved her, how good of friends we were. She's so much more mature now, her beauty is so captivating.

I'm so taken back by how much she's changed, pure shock by all the memories inundating my head that I don't even notice that the black shell that was about to kill me has left my body. Diminishing from my whole being.

Kathleen's angelic face lights up and happy tears start flowing, I can tell, she remembers too. I take her face in both my hands, "How old are you?" I ask trying to know if my thoughts were appropriate. Her acorn brown eyebrows furrow. "I'm twenty-three, why?"

"May I kiss you?" I ask, sitting up a bit more, now on my knees. She gives a small giggle and nods. I smirk and finally take her lips onto mine. Kissing her with an intense passion, we both smile into the kiss, her soft lips reciprocating my kiss just as deeply.
