Chapter 31: Old lady

To say I was tired would have an understatement without question. I've been riding this horse for hours now. The sun was high in the sky but slowly setting. Coming close to dusk now.

I was exasperated, the horse was over-worked. It was fair to say we needed rest. I do know how to make a fire but I don't have anything to tie the horse with. Or the strength to go find wood.

I felt gross, I haven't had the time to bathe before I left. I had too large clothes on. It's scratching me. The baggy clothes make it uncomfortable to move. I didn't have time to brush my teeth either. I felt truly gross.

I almost decided to sleep without a fire and pry to the gods that my horse didn't leave me. Or that creatures of the night wouldn't come and eat me. That was until I saw smoke not far from me. Taking a risk I decided to ride all the way there pushing through the fatigue.
