Chapter 38: Golden eyes
Levi's beautiful blue eyes seep into my own. Entrancing me and begging me to stay, to go back to him. I almost did, I almost lost my senses and ran into his arm. I would have hugged him as I cried into his arms, sobbing an apology.
That would have happened if it wasn't for Leigh reaching through the tent and grabbing my arm. My body craves for Levi's warm presence, a need to be with him. To feel his soft kisses on my skin. His coveted for intertwining body. My whole being wants him and only him.
So when Leigh takes my arm and runs off into the woods, it makes me just a little angry.
We come to a stop and Leigh pants out for a bit. When she excitedly starts jumping, "We did it!" She says, holding her hand up to give me a high-five. I look at her with rage. Outright, sheer animosity, "What the hell?" She says, her eyes going wide. That causes me to furrow my eyebrows.

The commotion of the moving soldiers is just perfect for horse stealing. Tallgrass and thick forest cover us slightly, along with flushed sunshine. Still, it's cool here outside. The sound of a large army marching in the background can be heard. Not only that, however, birds chirping as well. Nonetheless, the sun's close to setting. The smell of the forest enters my nares.
