Morales' strike
Back in the Faikan palace, the Emperor is in the throne room. He is anxious about the events which took place while Moira is sitting next to him. She puts a hand on her mate’s arm.
“Calm down,” she tells him. “I am sure that we will find him.”
“Find him?” Phillippe snaps. “What will we do after finding him? Look at this bloody place!”
He points at the ruins. The palace is barely standing and all the faes in the kingdom are working to restore it, but even their powers are not enough to fully repair the castle. They have all seen the destruction that Lavi is capable of and frankly, it scares Phillippe to no end.

Lavi and Anna rest in the cave for the whole day. Anna managed to recover from her injuries and the color on her face is also returning. She can walk as well albeit slower than usual. Lavi stood guard at the cave, not sleeping a wink. Anna sometimes wonders why he does not sleep. Is it because of his paranoia? Or something else?“I can stand guard,” she offers. “You should sleep. You did not sleep for days!”“I can sleep at will,” Lavi mutters but his eyes are quite reddish. “AHHHH!” Both of them scream and make a run for it. The worm is at least fifty feet high and very thick. It lets out a high pitched cry which nearly bleeds Lavi and Thena’s ears but they do not stop running. The giant worm slams itself on the ground, missing Lavi by inches. It has a foul stench of rotten eggs and swamp, nearly making Lavi sick. Thena manages to detect him and pulls him out of safety but the worm is slithering behind them at an incredibly fast pace.“Lavi, get on my back!” Thena shouts. “It may be big but I can run faster! Just guide me, okay?”Lavi does not waste time and hops on Thena’s back. “Go right!” he orders. Thena makes a turn to the right, running at incredible speed. Thanks to her hybrid nature, she can run faster than average Lycans and she is using her senses to find her way. The worm is still on their tail, its foul smell filling up their nostrils. Back in Pir, Timur is thinking hard. He heard the disturbing news about how Lady Ariel was allegedly killed by the Crown Prince and his mistress. After the news broke, he heard that Anna had been taken captive but Lavi helped her escape and now they are on the run. “How am I going to find them?” He mutters to himself. Should I inform Emperor Alexei? He attended the Ball on behalf of the Emperor but little did he know that he would run into the long lost Princess! Emperor Alexei was unable to attend the Ball because his mate, Roseanne, has been ill due to her pregnancy. Telling them about this issue will sour the relationship between Ezealyra and Faika. “I will have to tell Leo about this,” he decides. “There is no other way. But first, I need to investigate this issue.” He instantly leaves to visit the now ruined castle. The Emperor and Empress are still living there albeit in makeshift tents. “Hic!” Anna lets out an inadvertent hiccup. Lavi pours water in a glass and offers it to her. “Here you go,” he says and puts the glass in her hands. “You can rest. I will stay up all night and-” Anna puts the glass away and gently touches his shoulder. To Lavi’s surprise, she pushes him on the bed and lies beside him. “What the hell are you doing?” He frowns. “This is better,” she murmurs. “You need rest and so do I. It is best if we rest together on this bed.” Lavi can see her face turning red in embarrassment. Anna is suddenly feeling very shy and fidgets a little. The bed is quite small; so small that their bodies are in close proximity. He cannot help but gaze at her affectionately. Unlike her usual fiery self, she is more self aware and shy as if she is also feeling the same as him. Her dark hair is slightly falling on her face and she tries to shake it off. The bright rays of the sun break Lavi’s sleep the next morning and he slowly opens his eyes. Instantly, a welcoming scent of cocoa hits his nostrils and he inhales it deeply, calming his soul. Anna’s sleeping figure appears in front of him and he gazes at her.She is not mumbling in her sleep but rather, her lips are curled into a pretty smile as if she is having a good dream. Her dark hair is slightly brushing her face and she is hugging him tightly, not letting go. Lavi snickers at her possessiveness. Timur strolls through the lavish corridor which is illuminated by several silver lights. Unlike the dreary castle of Faika, this one is more lively and bright. The furniture is squeaky clean and the walls are made with the finest white marbles. The throne room is double the size than that of Faika but instead of a throne, there is only a round table with several chairs on the sides. Only two chairs are put in the front. While the chairs look no different than the rest, no one else sits on it because it is reserved for the Emperor and Empress. The Emperor does not care though. He only cares about his country more than a piece of furniture.A dark haired man in his late twenties is standing in the middle of the throne room, waiting for Timur.
