Finally, Home.
Scott thought as he looked around the familiar room he had teleported too. He plopped down into a seat, rested his head on the edge of the seat, and crossed an arm over his face.He knew his sister would not be coming there anytime soon, and that only pleased him well. How could she have even thought that the next best thing to do was take him to the hospital? What if they had been discovered? We could still be discovered. The tiny voice in his head reminded him.He shouldn't have fed from the girl. He knew it was extremely dangerous, but he had woken up very hungry and her blood had smelled appealing to him. So he had done the most stupid thing he had ever done in his life.He couldn't deny that her blood was delicious though. It had taken him all the willpower he had left not to suck her dry. It hadn't helped that his inner demon had roared at the scent of the girl, and he had felt aroused for the little girl like an untrained youth. Worst of all, he had forgotten to erase her memory. In all his 2000 years of existence, he avoided humans like plagues. He only got anywhere near them when he was forced to feed, no other entanglement. Today, he had fed from a human girl, and had even gotten aroused for her. He had even risked his discovery and told the nurses about her. While feeding from her, he had felt the mating bond. He had felt like removing his fangs from her arm and sinking it into her neck instead.Life must be playing a cruel joke on him. How could he be mated to the existence he hated the most? To a weak creature? He hated humans, and that too, with passion. Their life was nothing more than a flick of light in his sight. He still can't understand why they bother carrying on that race when they know that they would cease to exist someday.Humans. A mere human. How dare fate test his patience? How dare that damn mating bond get activated to a human girl? Or maybe he was wrong. It truly could have been a coincidence, or maybe a hoax. Because, never in a million years would he accept a human for a mate.Humans were just food bags to him. Nothing more than that.A familiar scent greeted his nose and he groaned. So much for thinking she wouldn't come anytime soon."You can come out," Scott told his sister, who made herself visible immediately."She doesn't deserve that treatment you gave her," Renee told Scott.Scott looked at Renee. They were siblings, but he hadn't known she existed until about 300 years ago when they were searching for the lost ones. The lost ones are those who had a tinted bloodline. The vampires didn't know they existed until his friend Arden had accidentally found one of them about 500 years ago. When Scott had found Renee, she had been looking for him too. He had thought she was a true blood, but he soon realized the error of his judgment when she had taken an arrow directly to her heart for him. He had thought he lost her just as he found her. But, she had turned into a cat before his eyes and she was back alive. Since they both share the same father, he knew her mother must be someone from the cat family. The cat family aren't so famous in the underworld, neither are they famous in the stupid scary stories the humans told their little ones. Vampires on the other hand, tops the list. They were painted black, and were always the villain in every story involving the humans and the vampires.Renee was too friendly and too kind for her own good. She treats everyone as a friend, even in the face of danger. Where he saw the bad in people, Renee would only see the good in them. But, all the same, he loved her more than anything in the world."Why in the world would you even take me to the hospital in the first place?" Scott asked Renee."What should I have done? You weren't responding to the smell of blood. And she offered to help." Renee said."You should have brought me back home. Or call Arden for help." Scott reprimanded."Still, she doesn't deserve that." His sister told him."She's off limits, Renee. Did you find the lost one we were looking for?"Renee shook her head in a negative way. It's just as he thought, the lost one was out of their reach once more. It would be hard finding him again. Every time he was close to finding the lost one, something would happen to stop him. It was almost like that certain lost one doesn't want to be found. The elders would start demanding an explanation. There wasn't much information on the lost one anyway. Other than the fact that he had been spotted multiple times near the area he had collapsed, nothing else was certain. Scott wondered what special power the lost one possessed."You are impossible today," Renee broke into his thoughts before disappearing. He chuckled to himself. His mind went back to the mating bond. If he is bonded to that girl, that would mean that he can feel when she is in danger, when she is happy, when she is sad, and more so, when she is aroused. He doesn't need that kind of drama in his life at this stage. He needs to do something about the bond. There has to be a way to break the bond. Arden would know. And if he doesn't, Lucas would. Lucas was the oldest vampire alive, and he also has the gift of healing. Not that vampires really needed healing. We have a special blood that heals us of every wound almost immediately. But, there are times Lucas skills came in handy. If Renee had brought him home when he collapsed, Lucas would have healed him.Why had he collapsed though? He can't seem to remember what happened that night. All he remembered was that he had smelled another vampire within the vicinity and had gone to search in the direction the smell was coming from thinking it was the lost one. After that, he couldn't remember anything else. One thing was clear though, the person who had ambushed was really powerful, and was definitely a vampire. And he always thought he was the most powerful in the vampire clan. Having a vampire for a father, and a demon for a mother had given him powers that even the elders of the clan feared.Every vampire has a special power they could wield. Some have the gift of invisibility, some telepathy, some mind reading, some mind invading, some can control the elements of the earth, some can change forms and looks, some like Lucas can heal, others like Arden can possess other people's mind and body. But Scott possessed all the powers ever known to the vampires. It could probably be because of his demon blood. Scott didn't care, as long as he can protect himself and the people he loves. His demon blood had also given him some more powers. With the flick of his finger, he could defeat a thousand soldiers at once. He can also form things out of the air. If he needed a sword, he just simply commanded it to appear, and it did.As far as he and the vampire clan knows, Scott and Arden were the only tinted blood ever, until Arden had found a wolf boy on a full moon who had turned out to be a vampire. Scott had also found his sister who was also a cat apart from being a vampire. It had convinced them that there could be many others out there they never knew existed before, hence, the search for the lost one had begun. And now, there was another vampire out there who could possibly be more powerful than Scott. Was that even possible?Anyway, the most pressing matter now is to find Lucas and make him break the mating bond.As Scott stood up to move, he felt strange. He felt the urge to vomit, and he did. What he vomited was blood. He felt so weak after that, and felt his power decreasing. He touched his hair to be sure he wasn't hallucinating, and he saw the familiar white hair.Beads of sweat creased his forehead. The white hair is only visible when he has lost almost all his powers. How could he lose his powers when he had just fed?Arden, I need help.Scott sent a telepathy message to Arden, and prayed his power was not too weak not to make it through. In another second, he threw up more blood. Will be there in a jiffy.Scott had the reply faintly. In a minute, Scott saw the familiar figure standing in front of him. He felt a strong pair of arms around him, and soon, he felt like they were flying.Arden is here.Scott said to himself. And feeling another urge to throw up, he did. And that was the last thing he knew before fainting.Scott opened his eyes weakly and stared at the unfamiliar surrounding. Where was he? And why does he feel so weak."Are you back?" Scott heard a voice asked him. He turned his focus to where the voice had come from and saw Arden standing close to him."Hungry." He croaked out.Without a word, Arden stretched out his arm toward Scott and he fed hungrily. After he was done, Scott felt his powers coming back and he sat up. He saw that Arden wasn't standing alone, Lucas was with him."What happened?" Scott asked them after.Lucas took his time to explain everything that had happened. At least, what they thought had happened. When Scott confirmed their thoughts that he had indeed fed from her, Lucas continued in his tale. He also explained what he thought might have been the reason for Scott's unconscious state. After he was done, Scott sighed audibly."Are you saying that her blood could be poisonous to vampires?" He asked Lucas."I don't know yet. It could be only to you. But, we will soo
Scott Anderson looked at the alley he was walking in, already regretting that he had let Lucas and Arden talk him into the situation he was in. Now, he was already getting angry at the entire situation on the ground and he was mostly angry at the human girl, whatever her name was.He was however happy that the bond had been broken, even though the process had been nothing but pain. Lucas had tied him down like an animal so that his demon side would not take over him. Then, the man had made him gulp down some weird substance that had left a bitter taste in his mouth. He had thought that was all it would entail but if only he knew.It hadn't been more than a minute when the pain had begun. If Scott had thought vomiting due to the human blood was death, whatever Lucas had made him drink was hell. For more than 3 hours, his vampire blood and demon blood fought over domination. It got to a point when Scott had thought death would be a better option compared to what he w
Alijah's head throbbed and her whole body ached her. It felt like someone had hammered her entire body with a heavy object like a sledger or even a rock. The way her body felt like was the same with the way one would feel if the body has been carved in different kinds of wound. She also couldn't make sense of all the jumble of thoughts that had passed through her mind. Some of them even felt like memories. Memories that she knew that it didn't belong to her. Why she also had them was a mystery to her at the moment. She had been sleeping when the entire thing started. In only a matter of minutes, she had felt pain and horribleness. Intensed pain that she had wished for death to just take her life away from her so that tormenting could end. Then, the memories or thoughts had started. The memories that she had done everything in her power to stop from ever appearance in her head since they bring along with them, bundles of sadness. She saw her memori
As soon as Evan went away with the blood-stained wools, Alijah sat down on a plastic chair beside the unconscious man. After checking his forehead and making sure that he wasn't burning with fever, she relaxed her tense feature a little. She was still watching to see if there would be any reaction from the man when her stomach growled and she was reminded of the fact that she hadn't had her dinner yet. She got up from where she sat and went into the kitchen to get something to eat. When she got to the kitchen, she rummaged through her stuff and saw that she only had oatmeal and some milk left in the refrigerator. She sighed as she served herself some, knowing that she had no choice. She was almost at the door when she remembered that she hadn't fed her cat, Peace, her dinner yet. Alijah went back and got the cat's plate, poured some of her cat food into it before she picked it up carefully and she returned to the room with it.The cat sat on the white chair her owner had vacated only
The sunlight flickered through the blind, unleashing its ray of anger on Scott Anderson who groaned at the pain and discomfort he felt as the harsh sun burned him up. His blood felt hot and the flesh covering his bones felt as though it had been roasted as barbeque meat for whoever cared for it.He lifted his arm over his face to at least protect his face from getting more burnt than he felt it had. When that action did little to help him out of his predicament, he forced his blue eyes open and sat up. All his body ached and his bones felt stiff, along with his hot blood. To cut the long story short, he felt like he had been crucified without his permission. When the sunlight hit him again, this time a little brighter than before, he turned an angry scowl toward the direction the light came from. The first thing Scott noticed was the poor state of the room he was in.Judging from the faded blind that covered the window, to the faded color of the wall of the room, to the bare floor that
Scott teleported to the screaming woman in front of him without much thought about giving his identity away; something he had been trying to avoid since the moment he opened his eyes in her house. All he had just thought about at that moment was to get her to shut up. When he got to where she was, he slapped a hand over her mouth and indicated the shush tone."Keep quiet, will you?" He asked her in a commanding tone.Alijah heard the automated control tone of someone asking her to keep quiet somewhere in the subconscious of her screaming. When she realized that it was the same man she had run away from, she screamed even louder into his hand which muffled her tone a little. After she had been bitten by that vampire creature at the hospital, the truth had never gotten to her that vampires were creatures that truly exist and not just in the nighttime books. Seeing a man who had reacted the same way that white-haired man did had made her freak out of her usual controlled self. Why wasn't
Alijah got into the kitchen, poured the last of her oatmeal into a bowl, added some milk to it, and made her way back to the room where she had left the stranger and his cat. She shook her head as she realized that the cat she had grown fond of would no longer be hers since the owner would want to go back for his pet when he was leaving. Even if the cat wanted to stay with her, she was sure the man would insist on taking the cat away. She would miss the pet. She had come to rely on the companionship the cat gave her. Now, there would be no one she could talk to and tell all her worries. She would return home to only her furniture and the silence her house provided her with. She sighed as she tried to shoot the depressing thoughts away. She was already used to being alone for most of her life, so returning to that circle again shouldn't be such a hard thing for her.It was a hard thing, she thought. Whether she admitted it out loud or not, whether she thought of it in her mind or she di
Scott waited until he was sure that Alijah was gone completely from his doorstep before he let out the curse that had rested upon the tip of his tongue for a little while."Fuck! I can't believe I let Lucas talk me into this mess." He sighed and looked around at the poor state of the house once again. He could break down and probably murder the girl if he remained in the house, he thought. He agreed with himself that the only thing he could do at that moment was just to leave the house. However, because he didn't know anyone anywhere, he was a little confused about where to go."The lost one." He mumbled to himself and smiled. He would just go out and look around to see if he could spot the lost one he and his sister were looking for a while back.He teleported out of the house to an area without any living thing poking their nose about and breathed in the scent of fresh air. He was just about to step out among the humans when he remembered that he shouldn't have teleported out of the
