...Sienna POV...When I woke up, it felt like someone had slammed my head against the concrete floor repetitively. My head was pounding, and my vision was rather blurred. ...Asher POV...I was happy to see that Sienna had returned to normal. She seemed a bit torn and upset with herself. But was otherwise fine. I was sure she would return to her normal self after more rest and something to eat. She's been running full force for far too long. We've been in this war with Silvio for over a year. "He came to us just a few years before you joined. He was closer to Sienna's age, so we thought they would get along. He was a shining candidate, which is why I had him placed as Sienna's guard. I knew he was loyal to the Stone family for everything they had done for him, so I knew Sienna would be in good hands." Jace commented."But why transfer? ...Sienna POV..."I think we need to treat both of them as possible candidates. I would like to believe Eli is innocent in all of this. But I can't deny all the signs are pointing towards him. Let us sit and think about how to proceed before we do anything further. We need to make sure no one finds out about this. For all we know, one of them or both of them could be in on this. If either of them finds out before we have a chance to catch them, all of our work will be for nothing. We finally have a lead for the first time in a long time." I open my eyes to see a familiar face looking back at me. "Hunter?" I call out, not believing what I'm seeing.Images of the last time we were intimate like this cloud my mind making my heartbeat rush in adrenaline. Over the next week, Asher and I worked tirelessly to form a plan so that we could dig up intel on Eli and Everett. We did as much as we could from overseas, but now it was time to go in person. So far, I managed to deduce that Eli was, in fact, giving intel to Everett, but what we didn't know was whether Eli was aware of this or if Eli was the mastermind behind it all. From the information I found, it would be easy to point fingers at Eli, but part of me still had doubts. I wasn't sure if it was because Eli was close to my family, so I didn't want to think that he could be the one behind all of this. But the more information I found, it was growing increasingly difficult to prove otherwise. I was able to find a deep hack in the FBI system that sent confidential information directly to Everett. I waited in the car for over thirty minutes. I needed to ensure that neither Eli nor Everett expected us to be together. If they managed to discover that we came together, we would most definitely be in danger.
