Chapter 74 - Dylan Ashford

Dylan POV

When the taxi stops in front of my parent’s house, I open the door and stand in front of the gates, looking inside. As if I got hit with a ton of bricks, I remember the conversation my mother was having with Layla at the ball. The divorce. My father asked my mother for the divorce, so he knows the baby is his.

I open the gate with the code I have and saunter up the drive toward the double doors of the house. One of them opens and my mom walks out frowning as she watches me walk up the steps. “What are you doing here? I was just about to go to a meeting,” my mom announces, and I nod. I kiss her on the cheek before I walk past her into the house.

“What are you doing here?” She asks again, and I turn to face her. Her eyes meet mine. “What is going on with the divorce?” I ask and my mom takes a deep breath and adjusts her skirt as she’s got taken by surprise by my question.

Their mom was a pain but no one woman deserves to be cheated on by a gold digging hoe. I think Dylan dodged a bullet though.
