Athena's POV

Amoux looked at us with all the hatred he could muster, which made me smile even more sweetly.

"You talk a lot," Amoux said to Lua as a compliment. "I hope you can also do the work,"

"You'd be more than surprised by all the things I can do," Lua shot back, making Amoux press his lips together in a thin line. She added, "And if we stop talking and get to work, you'll see what I'm talking about."

Amoux stared at us for a few more seconds before saying, "His Majesty would be here soon for that."

"You mean what?"

"Do you have trouble understanding simple things?"

I told him, "I'm not sure I understand what he has to do with this."

"Why? Amoux said, "He'd be coming with us," which made me frown. I didn't expect this, and I couldn't even think of a reason why he would come on this trip.
