Chapter 37

Athena’s pov

Atti rowed the boat back to the other shore as I breathed fire. The boat of Lucian followed us. I could feel his eyes burning on my back and feel the fire inside of me. I was very angry.

I couldn't believe I'd given in to the mate bond and acted like such a fool in front of him again.

Ugh! Athena, why can't you just be heartless once?

When I gave Atti a look, she kept quiet and rowed the boat faster. In the meantime, I could feel his gaze on me getting stronger and stronger. It could easily block out the afternoon sun and dry up the whole river.

All of a sudden, there was a lot of tension in the air. Even the river monsters tried to stay away from me. On the shore, my jaw was set and my eyes were frozen.

When we got there, I told my wolves to get ready to leave right away. Already a lot of time had been wasted, and I didn't want to waste any more. I wanted to leave right away and get going.

As the last of the Lycans and all of my wolves finally moved deeper into the woods
