Chapter 39

I ignored Adolf all day.

After we escaped from the enemy's territory, we looked for a secluded place so that the enemy could not catch up on us.

“Is everyone okay? Is everyone here?”

“Chief! There are around twenty casualties, five are missing, but, the rest are okay.”

It was obvious from Stoic's face that he was relieved because most of them was fine. But, it can also be seen in his eyes that he is uneasy because there are five people missing from his member.

“I can’t believe some humans are working under Azariel.”

“Do they have any idea that Azariel wants to wipe out every human in this land?”

“Oh, heavens I just hope this war will be over soon. I’m tired and injured.”

I stopped cleaning a wound on one of Stoic's people when I heard someone talking to my side.I looked over my shoulder and there were three people talking to the side. They are wounded, weak and obviously hungry. I can't help but to feel sorry for their situation because they seem to want to give up.
