When Raine's breathing picked up, Raymond proceeded to take Raine's temperature. All the while his eyes were at her friend who had lowered herself in a chair next to Raine.
Frankly, Raymond didn't like what he saw in the eyes of the woman as she looked at the patient lying down on the bed. There's pain, concern, pity and something else.
Something that closely resembles dislike....hatred....lust.
Raymond caught himself from the thought. What the hell am I thinking anyway, he chided himself. This woman is here to stay with her injured friend.
