Chapter 48: The Unexpected Twist

"What audacity," Lilian complained after Alessia left my chamber. I bit on my lower lips with an angry and cold look on my face.

What's wrong with me? Why can't I talk back to her? Somehow, I feel like I'm beginning to feel intimidated by her presence.

What has she done to me? I asked myself but I couldn't get an answer to it. I clenched my fist as I stared at my shirt which she roughed.

I'm angry at myself for being powerless when I'm close to her. I don't know what to do about her.

"I'm not weak," I said in a cold tone, finding it hard to believe that she was dominant over me.

She disagreed. "I'm sorry if I may have offended you but I noticed it, my lady. You used to be fierce and dominant which means you were one of the most feared ladies in the pack but you appeared weak whenever she comes close to you,"
