A war within me

Why was everyone talking about wars within me? I was perfectly fine. All I needed was one very good day for myself that didn’t involve the troubles of being a witch or a werewolf.

“If I have a war within me, I think I’d be the first one to know. I wouldn’t need anyone to tell me what to do about it or tell me that it’s there.”

“That is not how this works…”

“I’d like to be alone now,” I sighed. “I don’t want to be with anyone right now. That’s why I left the palace. I’m here to be on my own.”

“From where I’m standing there’s enough room for everybody,” she smirked. “But if you don’t do something about the issues plaguing us all, you would be like us, filled with resentment towards a group of people and never finding a home you belong to.
