His body went rigid when he crossed her room. "I could smell her here. You lied." He pushed the door to Elyn's room open, and sniffed and his eyes turned sad as he looked around. But of course, she wasn't there.

"Can you?" I narrowed my eyes at him. "Can you also scent something else?"

"You are taunting him, you fucker. I love you!" Storm cheered.

"Well, I am still not sure what I feel about you..."

Liam's eyes narrowed and then he gasped as he took a step back, as if I had just punched him in his gut. The eyes that looked back at me were full of violence and grief, and I realized... the bastard loved her, too, whether or not he knew it, and he was mated to her sister.
