(Before Elyn came to Turquoise Falls)
(Elyn)
"You can use me all you want," Ares's voice was a breathy whisper as he looked at me, his eyes soft and wonderful and the twitch in my heart grew and it tilted further down.
"Can I?" I breathed out as I stared into his magnificent eyes, my heart banging loudly against my chest. Something had changed, and I didn't know whether I wanted it to change or not, but it didn't matter. What I did or didn't want. It had happened, and I knew I couldn't get away from this, or turn the time back and go back to how it was once between us.
I had told myself... NO FUCKING FEELINGS. But did I heed to my own warnings?
What did the tell about once bitten, fucking shy of it?! I had never followed any rules, had I? I knew there was something big coming, something I was not ready for, but for now, I didn't want to think about that, or Reyna, or Liam. Nothing. I only wanted to think about Ares and everything he hid beneath his shirt.
And when Ares looked at me like that, like I was the most precious art in the Sorhoi Gallery, I couldn't help but the small sprout of feelings spurting up from somewhere deep inside me. Pop. Pop.
Fucking die, you assholes. I didn't want feelings. I only wanted sex. I only wanted to use his body. But when he said things like that... and when his eyes looked at me like that...
I was in a fucking train to heartbreak city, and I wanted to shoot myself in my chest with a whole quiver of arrows and be done with this for now. Or my brain. Yeah, it definitely needed a kick or two, as well. Whenever Ares Freaking Kincaid was in the vicinity, every brain cell died an instant death.
"Yes," his voice was a soft caress as he took a step towards me, his eyes darkening in his lust and I didn't want anything more than taking him up on his offer.
He pulled me closer to him, his hands roughly searching my body. There was no softness in his hand. It was wild and wanton, the way our bodies moved.
I gripped his shoulder, angling my head to the side, as his claws softly dragged down my spine, sending shots of electricity through me. My body trembled. His movements we jerky, fast as if he had enough of waiting. Nothing was slow or patient about the way his hands found my body.
Through his pants and my pants, I could still feel him turning hard. His fingers dug in to my lush flesh as he gripped my ass, positioning me between his legs so that his erection was now nestled between my legs. I grounded against him, my body wild with abandon. My heart fluttered and then furiously beat when he curled his fingers and bunched my hair, pulling my head back. His eyes were full of fire storm, and I would gladly burn.
"Ares... I-" His tongue plunged inside me, shutting me off. His lips were merciless, punishing, but I enjoyed every bite, every thrust. He sucked my lower lips between his teeth, roughly pulling it, and I knew... finally, finally I had broken his self-restraint.
I almost wanted to tell him that anyone might walk in on our little heated display, but I didn't. I didn't want him to stop. I didn't want him to go on and on. He looked like he was possessed. His eyes flashed back and forth as his hands explored my curves.
He pulled back and I protested, but my words of protest died down when I felt his hot breath hitting the side of my neck, right where my pulse skipped and jumped.
"You- you will be my ruin. I knew... I knew it the moment I met you. That, somehow, you are going to be my undoing. I knew it when I looked into your evil eyes and lost my breath..." he moaned as his fingers in my hair tightened possessively and I enjoyed it. I
found a way to sneak my hand so that I could finally feel his erection. I cupped his bulge, and he hissed.
"You are my damnation, Elyn Frost. I can't run fast enough."
"Don't run, then."
"I don't plan to run anymore. I will take whatever you are giving."
"I want to give you everything."
He stilled for a second and there was a strange look on his eyes before he shook his head and buried his face in the crook of my neck as his hand found my breast. He pressed a kiss against my neck, and sucked the soft, sensitive skin and my body trembled when I felt his canines poking at my skin. He scraped his teeth along my neck, up and down, until I felt like I was made of combustible materials. Everywhere he touched, he left fire burning.
I felt like we were two universes, on the verge of self destruction.
But did I care? No. Not when he hand were making me feel things I had never felt, not when his lips were killing me sweetly, madly.
I only felt the insane burst of feeling. There was no logic or explanation for this. Only madness, and I thrived in that madness.
"Uncle Ares..."
"Oh fuck," he muttered softly as he breath left his lips in a soft hiss. "Not now."
I loved Azlea. I loved the little girl like nothing in the world, but damn... did she have to come right now?
"Are you and Elyn mates?" She looked so eager, as if it was the best thing she had ever heard in her life.
Ares jumped away from me as if he was shocked. He looked down at Azlea and a ragged breath left his lips and I felt my fingers tremble. He didn't answer. The little girl looked curiously before she looked at me, her blue eyes shining in happiness.
"Are you going to stay forever, Elyn?" Azlea whispered as she petted her pet Djorn, Rubik, who was curled on her shoulder. He was there most of the time. I had never seen her without Rubik. It was as if they were twins or something, always attached to the shoulder. The little slithering creature looked at me with big, marbled eyes and fluttered his wings, and cooed. His way of greeting, and he only greeted when he liked someone. Everyone else was enemy to him.
I bit my lips as I looked down at her. I wanted to say yes. But I knew it was only a matter of time. This was not permanent. This was only a pitstop, and I was a moron.
"No, baby girl."
"Bu-but-"
"But I will always be there for you."
She looked like she was debating inside her little brain, before she finally nodded.
"Okay, but-"
I turned to Ares, and he looked at me with a smile. He didn't look like he regretted anything he said or did. But did I regret it?
"I- Ares..."
"What?"
"I need to find my sister."
He nodded, his eyes flashing in understanding and then I see some other unexplainable emotion in his eyes. One that looked like- jealousy. Was he jealous? Why? Why would he be jealous of Reyna?
"And Ares... promise me you wouldn't do anything stupid like Kidnapping her?"
"Yeah, after this lesson... I wouldn't dare." He pointedly looked at me, and I shook my head, frowning at him.
"Oh, don't lie. You love this lesson," I whispered before I turned away from him.
He shook his head with a soft growl. "No, I don't. It is a very complicated lesson, and it is-" he stopped and took a deep breath. "Do you want me to take you there."
"Only until the edge of the Turquoise Falls. I will go from there, and you should come back."
"Go on, then, Cookie. We will be back soon."
"Can we make chocolate cookies, Uncle? Elyn? After you come back?" she said, fluttering her little eyes and I chuckled.
"You called me a master manipulator. Your niece is the best out of the both of us."
"Of course, we can make cookies. Now go."
We waited until she walked in and Ares shifted. I ran my fingers through Storm's lush fur, and he moaned and howled.
"Yeah, little pervert. Not happening," I whispered, and he looked at me, his eyes wide and bewildered. "Didn't you hear... I could speak wolf, so... no, you can't lick my breast."
He howled once again.
"Yes. Ares can. You can't. I don't care how unfair you think it is, now get going."
----
(ELYN) Luna Amelia stalked towards me, her steps purposeful, her eyes brewing with her rage, and I watched as my sister stared at us, her eyes bewildered and confused. She didn't move from where she was standing. She was rooted in place as she watched the chaos happening around her. The shock and the flicker of pain in her eyes... I wish I could somehow protect her from this, but her mother was not ready to stop this. She was done pretending in front of Reyna, and I could see it in the bitch's eyes. "You will die here today. I have enough of you and your meddlesome ways. When you are gone, everything will be okay." I felt her claws digging into the side of my neck and I winced in pain when she tightened her fingers around my throat. My lungs burned, and everything hurt as I looked at Amelia and her hateful eyes. There was no life in them. Only pure anger and malevolence. For something I hadn't done. "Reyna - you are hurting Reyna," I whispered as I looked at my sister, who looked
(ZIEN) The town was loud and noisy. I could immediately smell the wolves. My nose twitched. Meera walked closer to me, her eyes scanning everywhere. She looked just as peeved as I was to be amidst the midst. Wolves were... just not our kind of animals. "So, this is where she is?" Meera asked, her distaste evident in her voice as we walked along the busy streets, scanning the crowd of people, my eyes focused on every face. "No, she is in a pack land, not here," I said with a frown. I had been keeping track of her since my uncle told me about her, and how she was going to be my salvation, my way to earn my throne back and defeat the monsters who stole my throne from me. "Turquoise Falls, you said?" she asked as she studied my face, her brows knotted together, her plump lips disappearing between her teeth. I could easily sense her feelings. I shook my head. "I don't know. We will find her. But first, we need to find the blood stones and I have to get my power back." I said as a so
(REYNA) I woke up with a severe headache. Outside my windows, the sky was dark. There was a single yellow light glowing inside my room, and it hurt my eyes. Everything felt blurry and fuzzy, and my fingers felt like they were made of rubber. I winced as I sat up in my bed. Everything looked blurry and the room floated around me. Even through the haze, I registered that something was wrong here. What happened? How did I come to my room? I tried to think, but I couldn't remember anything. The more I tried to remember things, the more I felt like it was slipping away from my grasp. "What happened Riva?" I asked my wolf, feeling the floor shifting under my legs as I tried to stand up. I slumped back to the bed, pressing my fingers against my eyes. My wolf howled. She looked just as disoriented and confused. I grabbed the side of the bed, again, and stood up with great effort, before slowly walking to the opened window. The wind was chilly and cold. I felt like I had forgotten somet
(ARES) I stood up, growling as I did. The chair hit the floor and Elyn looked at me strangely. "It is alright, I made him blind and then my father banished him from the pack," she whispered as she motioned me to sit down, but I didn't want to sit down. Everything in me begged to run right now, and find that bastard, and then rip his heart out. "Later..." Storm said. "You are the one who did that to his eyes?" I asked, calming myself down. She gave me a self-satisfied smile that made me want to press my lips to her succulent lips. I stared at her lips, my heart thundering. The room felt like it was in the middle of the erupting volcano. I felt sweaty and overheated, as I stared at her, and her gray eyes, reflecting my feelings, met mine. Her soft brownish blonde hair was down her back and her lips... plump and soft and full and parted in need, it made me go mad with need. "Ares..." she breathed out. My whole body begged to close the remaining distance between us and touch her
(ELYN) "Go," I said, and he looked hesitant. "Your pack needs you." Before he turned to leave, the door banged open, and Luna Amelia and one of her witch friends walked in. The Witch was just as much a bitch as the Luna. Two wolves flanked the Luna and the Witch as they sauntered in, looking like they owned the place. Ares growled, his eyes gleaming. "Do not shift, Alpha Ares. This doesn't need to be bloody. I only need her. She belongs to my pack, anyway. You give her to me, and I won't touch a single hair of anyone in your pack." "Well... She belongs to my pack, now, and we don't abandon our pack members." It was so damn hard to keep my fucking heart safe after that. "She isn't even a fucking wolf, Alpha Ares. She is trouble. She is only going to complicate your life. Bad things follow her wherever she goes," Amelia hissed as she glared at me. "Give her to me, and I will take her out of your hands." "Oh, she is already bringing me more trouble than anyone," Ares said with a
HOURS AGO BEFORE THE ATTACK ON SILVERCREST (LUNA AMELIA) I locked the door, and sighed. This was necessary. "Keep her inside, and she will fight you, but don't let her out, Kona," I said to one of my men. There were a few men I trusted in the pack to follow only my orders. They would go above and beyond for me. Loyal, trusty men. Unlike... I walked downstairs after locking my daughter inside her room, to find Dorrian and Liam. He would die before he would go to Elyn. I would make sure of that. I stopped in the middle of the stairs when I saw Albert talking with Sienna in the living room. She barely came out of her little ramshackle cottage anymore, and she never came to the pack house. Seeing her here back in the pack house brought all kind of memories. My heart turned violently as I looked at Albert and her. His head was bent closer to hers, and she was shaking her head. Anger coiled inside me, along with disgust and betrayal. I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath. I
(ELYN) Amelia looked scared. Her eyes were wide. She had it coming for a long time. She had been torturing me for the mistake someone else made. I wasn't the problem. She was. They were. I was only a kid, who was born out of wedlock, because they made the mistakes. Sometimes, I could understand where Amelia was coming from, but this had become so hard for me, always living my life, looking behind my shoulders. I didn't want that anymore. I walked towards where Storm was standing. I pressed my hand to his wound and he winced again. "I am sorry," I whispered. "Now, move, Storm. This has been going on for so long and I am tired of it." I pressed the dagger against her throat and Amelia whimpered. "Not so brave anymore, are you?" I pressed until I saw the first drop of blood. "Stop. Please stop, Elyn." I whirled around, my eyes widening in surprise. "Reyna..." I whispered as I turned around to see my sister standing there. Her eyes were wide and tears streaked down her cheeks. "W
“No, you are not crazy, Elyn. I know that. But-” “Wait.” I grabbed the stone from him and the two pieced merged together and it glowed. Red light scattered along the room. “There is one more part,” Ares said with a sigh. “And yes, you are right. This isn’t random.” “I wonder what the hell this is. Have you seen anything like this before?” Ares shook his head. “No, I haven’t.” “Let’s find books and read about it.” Ares took a step towards me and I sighed as my eyes fluttered. “Honestly, Elyn, I love reading. But that is not what I want to do tonight, not after what we were doing outside just before the spirit interrupted us. Everything kept happening so fast, and I can’t- I want to feel this, feel you,” he growled with a dangerous look in his eyes that made me think of all the things he could do to me. I laughed and then my laughter died when I felt him kneeling down in front of me. His hands caressed the inside of my thighs. He bunched my dress up, and I groaned as his fingers
