My scalp throbbed painfully from the rough treatment of Jason's guard, who had yanked me out of my room by my hair without warning. If only he had simply asked me to get up and follow him, I would have complied. But instead, I found myself sitting on the floor, tears streaming down my cheeks, when he burst into my room and forcibly dragged me away.

Shuddering, I felt Jason's hands violate my body. I knew he wouldn't physically harm me, but his invasive touch sent a shiver down my spine. His grip tightened as soon as I mustered the courage to strike him in the stomach. Tears welled up in my eyes as I caught sight of Archer. All I wanted was to return home. While life with Archer had its challenges, being in Jason's presence made me feel nauseous.

Archer would never stoop to such despicable acts. His principles and morals were unwavering.

"What can Archer Lancaster do to save the woman he loves?" Jason asked mockingly, pulling me closer to him, relishing in the discomfort
