Chapter 43: Gamble

Grace woke up and the first thing she noticed was that her head was killing. The second thing she noticed was her ankle was killing. 

It took a few moments but she realised she was in semi-familiar surroundings of a hospital room and she heard the comforting beep of the heart monitor. 

Blinking her eyes, Grace got used to the surrounding area. Grace noticed that Xan was asleep gently snoring away. Xan also had a very small amount of drool dripping from the corner of his mouth. Grace would have laughed out loud at the sight of one of the most important people in China look like this when asleep, but her head hurt too much!

“Xan is just a man like the rest of us you know! I am very happy to see that you are awake. But, I think we need to have a little talk my Dear, don't you?” Tony said softly.
